A filmmaker embarks on a personal and playful journey through archives, jungles, and imagined memories to trace the life of her great-aunt Maria, one of the first women explorers to the Amazon, weaving together history and myth in a meditation on the desire for adventure and the roles we play in the stories we inherit.
